I'm Dr. Don Flowers, a proud native of Kentucky, and I've had the privilege of practicing dentistry in Springfield, Kentucky, since 1989. I was born in Harlan County and grew up in Middlesboro. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Eastern Kentucky University, I went on to graduate from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1988.
I’m deeply committed to staying current in my field, which is why I continuously pursue continuing education. Over the years, I’ve studied a wide range of topics—from facial growth and development in children to advanced techniques in complete denture fabrication, preventive care, and dental implant placement.
I’ve also completed two post-graduate programs in orthodontics for general dentists and have accumulated more than 700 hours of continuing education in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, craniofacial pain and TMJ dysfunction, as well as snoring and sleep apnea. This training allows me to focus on my passion: helping patients who suffer from temporomandibular disorder (TMD), chronic migraines, and sleep-related breathing disorders like tooth grinding, snoring, and sleep apnea. My holistic and conservative approach has helped many patients experience relief from chronic headaches, migraines, and TMJ discomfort.
I strongly believe in the power of collaborative care and work closely with other healthcare professionals—whether it’s a massage therapist, chiropractor, osteopathic physician, or medical doctor—to provide the best possible outcomes for my patients.
When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me gardening (with moderate success), cooking and trying new recipes, making beer and wine, or preserving food through canning. Most of all, I cherish time spent with my grandchildren. My wife, Dana, and I have been married for 38 years and have worked together throughout that time—she’s also my Dental Hygienist, and our partnership extends from home to the practice we love.
